Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on the Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly’s potential move to the Etihad.
The Citizens have been negotiating with Napoli for several weeks over their asking price, with Aurelio de Laurentiis looking to make at least €90m after turning down €100m last summer.
It is understood City had offer as much as £63m, leaving the two clubs far apart in terms of the final fee.
According to The Mirror, Napoli are prepared to lower their asking price for Koulibaly from £72m down to £60m, and the player himself would favour a move to City over bitter rivals Manchester United.
The report adds the Italians are desperate to land Lille defender Gabriel as their replacement but can’t buy him until they have sold 29-year-old Koulibaly.
Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini claims that Koulibaly will join Manchester City. With Alfredo Pedulla following suit by saying that the Citizens have already reached an agreement with Kalidou Koulibaly over his salary with the club up now ready to raise their offer to €70M + bonuses.
Sky journalist Gianluca Di Marzio followed up by stating Talks are ongoing between both club to find an agreement for Koulibaly.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City xtra and City Chief, Manchester City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Laporte x Koulibaly link up…… nobody is ready to score 0 goals against us next year pic.twitter.com/s0ijt44KMn— James Ashley (@JamesAshley28) August 18, 2020
We should have gone with Diego Carlos imo. Better ball playing defender and would fit alongside Laporte. I honestly don’t thing Koulibaly is worth that sort of money— Adam Taylor-Christensen (@AdamTaylor_ATC) August 18, 2020
Really skeptical about koulibaly we are not getting it right with defensive signings spending too much without results our best ever defender is still Kompany that says a lot. Diego Carlos or upamecano would be much better options . Skrinar will be an outside 3rd— EaZy (@eazyne) August 19, 2020
We all get excited just for @StuBrennanMEN to come in sometime and say this is fake news 😏— Prad Sure (@SurePradyumna) August 18, 2020
