Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on the Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly’s potential move to the Etihad.
Koulibaly has built a reputation as one of the world’s top defenders during his time in Serie A. Inevitably, he has attracted plenty of interest from around Europe.
Napoli‘s exit at the hands of Barcelona on Saturday confirmed that Koulibaly will not be playing in the champions leaque next season unless he moves clubs. With this campaign now over, there is more time to think about a potential switch.
The likes of Manchester united, Real Madrid, PSG and Liverpool have been linked, though City are favourites to sign him.
According Sunday Mirror via Daily Express, Manchester City have ruled themselves out of making a move for Kalidou Koulibaly as they cannot justify paying £90million meaning Manchester United could have a free hit at trying to sign the Napoli defender.
The report adds Pep Guardiola is looking at a number of targets but he will not make an approach for Koulibaly.

90 m for 29 yr old..big no..no doubt he’s good…but considering his age…we should evaluate more options— Rohit Bharara (@rohbharara) August 10, 2020
Best news I heard today as a citizen fan.this guy always remind me of mangala— @obmeri (@obmeri1) August 10, 2020
Im heart broken that we cant get him coz he is a very good defender. We need some authority in that back line. But paying 90 million for a 29 year old is not acceptable at all..on to the next one— Riddick Lovelorn (@RiddickLovelorn) August 10, 2020
Agree. Napoli trying to start a bidding war to get top price. We’ve been stung by Laurentiis before re: Jorghino, the man simply can’t be trusted. If the price is above our valuation, we should move on & find another option.— Gareth Hesketh (@garethshesketh) August 10, 2020
