Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that the Citizens are strongly interested in signing Wolves winger Adama Traore, but face strong competition from Italian Champions Juventus.
Pep Guardiola is ready to raid the transfer market in a bid to put Manchester City back on top of the Premier League after failing to keep pace with Jurgen Klopp’s relentless Liverpool this season, seeing the Reds streak to the title with seven games to spare
Manchester City’s underwhelming 2019/20 Premier League campaign laid bare the defensive frailties in Pep Guardiola’s squad. As lethal as the Citizens are going forward, they are porous at the back.
Even though Man City’s priority this summer will be the left back and centre back, the Citizens could be in the market for a winger to replace Leroy Sane, who completed an initial €49m move to Bayern Munich last week.
According to ESPN, Manchester City are prepared to make a move for Adama Traore (24) this summer if Wolves fail to qualify for next seasons Champions League.
ESPN suggest Traore valuation could be as high as £80m due to the remaining time on his Wolves contract, however City are reportedly ahead in the race to sign the winger.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City xtra and City Chief, Manchester City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
Average and Wolves would ask for something ridiculous, no thanks— Callum (@callmatthews) July 7, 2020
Happy to sit on the bench? Did he tell you that himself? Let’s be honest we aren’t gonna pay £70m for someone to be an impact sub.— Kieron (@kieroncc97) July 7, 2020
Traore will be good for City! He’ll bulldoze his way thru defenders, he has speed, skills and most importantly determination!— syed suhaib (@searchsyed) July 7, 2020
Please no. Don’t want him in a City shirt. Massively overrated.— Mpho Letshwene (@isaacxo17) July 7, 2020

Sancho is better… Much better.— Dr. Aquinas Thomas (@AquinasDr) July 7, 2020
“Definitely won’t be playing for City, some players are just not meant for some teams no matter how good they are.”, claimed one fan.
while another asked, “This guy is not even upto an average. How can Man City be linked with a player that is not always a regular for wolves”
Another tweet said:”The comments on this are Mad is everyone forgetting how he ripped City apart on more than one occasion? And his stats are through the roof. One of the best players in the premier if you look at stats. He would likely take a season to bed in as shown from his past clubs tho. Buy”.
