Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Bournemouth have accepted a £41million offer from the Citizens for central defender Nathan Ake.
Nathan Ake was one of the latest defender strongly linked with a move to the Etihad amongst José Giménez, Upamecano, Milan Skriniar, Diego Carlos and Kalidou Koulibaly in recent weeks, as Pep Guardiola looks to sign a new centre-back at the end of the season
The Athletic reported last week that City had stepped up their efforts to sign Ake with Guardian suggesting he will complete a £35m move to the blue side.
While report by Daily Mail early this week claims the Citizens were waiting to see if Bournemouth’s valuation for the 25-year-old Dutchman has changed after they were relegated from the Premier League.
According to Daily Mail today, Bournemouth have accepted a £41million offer from Manchester City for the central defender.
The Athletic claims Personal terms between Ake & City all-but done with the defender currently abroad and his medical to happen in due course.
As per the report, Even if Ake gets interest from elsewhere, the Dutch defender has decided to join City and work with Pep Guardiola.
Ake’s impending arrival will add further doubts about the futures of Nicolas Otamendi and John Stones. The pair have fallen behind Eric Garcia in the pecking order since the restart and have been linked with moves away from the Etihad Stadium.
