Pep Guardiola says Manchester City have no plans to buy a replacement for Leroy Sane if he leaves in the next transfer window.
Sané has long been linked with Bayern and Pep Guardiola confirmed on Friday that Germany international Sané has informed his employers he will not sign a new deal, meaning he will either be sold later this year or depart when his contract expires in 2021.
The manager believes Manchester City do not need to buy to replace Leroy Sane if the winger goes in the summer.
Asked if the club will be forced into the market to replace Sane, Guardiola retreated from the idea and said if Sane leaves this summer, Man City have three ready-made replacements for that left-wing slot.
“First, Leroy is our player,” he said. “I don’t know if he is going to leave this summer or at end of his contract but we have enough good players up front.
“Gabriel (Jesus) can play on the left, Phil Foden can play on the left, we have Raheem (Sterling) there. We have big, talented players up front.
“Most of them are in good healthy conditions, like Phil, Riyad (Mahrez), Gabriel, Raheem, they can play quite regularly for a long period of time, they are so stable in terms of injury situations.”
City are adamant they will not let Sane leave for a cut-price fee but Bayern Munich, who wanted the Germany international last summer, are expected to return with another offer.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, Manchester City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

“They don’t really need another winger, Jayden Braaf can come into the first team”, claimed one fan.
while another claimed, “He mentioned foden but we already know hes going to try put gundogan there before he plays phil”
Another tweet said: “Could be a good thing for Foden if we don’t replace Sane. Keeps Bernardo out wide and he can play in the middle. Of course could be bad new for him if we spend the Sane money on a centre mid.”
