Manchester City fans have been reacting to report that the Club has refuse to hold Barcelona transfer talks as Pep Guardiola rejects swap deal offer that would include Joao Cancelo this summer.

Guardiola according to reports is keen to bring Semedo to the Etihad and was even willing to part with money and offer his former club Cancelo in order to reach a deal.

According to Spanish publication Marca, City aren’t interested in doing business, as they don’t deem the swap deal to be clear enough.

City aren’t interested in doing any business, as they don’t deem the swap deal to be clear enough. The report claims that at no point have City entered into discussions to sign Semedo.

Juventus and Inter Milan are also reportedly eyeing Semedo but the Portugal international wants to leave Camp Nou for the Premier League there by prioritising a move to Manchester City.

Semedo (26) joined the La Liga giants in 2017 from Benfica, leaving him with two years remaining on his initial five-year contract. The Portuguese defender is yet to renew his terms at the Camp Nou.

Semedo is a fast and direct full-back, who won the UEFA Nations League with Portugal last year. He is capable of playing on either side of the defence, which would certainly be of great help to Guardiola, especially if his back four is plagued with injuries again next season as it was throughout the 19-20 campaign.

In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by Man City Xtra and City Chief on Twitter, City fans have flocked to share their opinions on the transfer rumours.
