Loads of Manchester City fans have been reacting on Twitter after Sky Sports reported that the club is interested in signing RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecanor
This could be the transfer battle of the summer, with Manchester giants and three other top European clubs interested in signing 21-year-old Upamecano
According to Sky Sports, both Manchester clubs are firmly in the race to land the France U21 international this summer with the duo very keen to reinforce their rearguard. Man city were left desperately short when their best defender Aymeric Laporte was ruled out through injury and will be keen to avoid that scenario again next season.
With a release clause of £52million, the young defender is in the budget of the two top clubs, who have paid much more for defenders in recent times. The 21-year-old is also being discussed at a host of top clubs in Europe, including Bayern Munich and the major clubs in Spain.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, Manchester City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions
City should buy him. Strong, young and even scoring goals. What else do you want?? Good player
