MAN CITY MUST SIGN LIGUE 1 PRODIGY COMPARED TO KYLIAN MBAPPE – JOURNALIST CLAIMS

Journalist Joe Donnohue has outlined why Manchester City must make a move for Ligue 1 prodigy Eduardo Camavinga in the summer – with his meteoric rise having been compared to fellow French starlet Kylian Mbappe.

As per this report, the promising 17-year-old has only a year of professional football at the top level under his belt but is still attracting some ‘big names‘ in Europe thanks to his performances this season.

Writing in the Manchester Evening News, Donnohue has described Camavinga as ‘unapologetically efficient‘ when it comes down to tackling and winning back possession – his ‘standout‘ trait that City manager Pep Guardiola would debatably admire given the fact he has had to insert usual midfield stalwart Fernandinho in a centre-back role this season.

Similar to the Brazilian club legend last season, Camavinga is apparently ‘valuable‘ at breaking up play in the middle of the park – and unlike Fernandinho, this is just the very beginning of his playing career.

The journalist, while taking his ability into account, has also claimed that both City and rivals Man United would be an ideal move for the teenager – especially when considering our apparent ability to nurture young talent.

Donnohue also went on to write in his piece that, in terms of footballing skill, Camavinga would fit right into the City squad despite his age – with the Sky Blues also possessing ‘enormous spending power‘ that could prise the starlet away from Rennes to Eastlands.

Claiming that the player is a ‘manager’s dream‘, it’s hard to disagree with the notion that his theoretical arrival could hold an array of potential benefits.
