From the side of Chelsea, it is stated that Stamford Bridge officials are open to selling Kovacic as part of a ‘midfield revolution’.

The report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.

@SilkyCyrus_74: “Not sure how to feel tbh. Hes a great player but hes getting old (not that age necessarily matters) but think everyone would just rather keep gundo and bernardo . Kovacic for less than 30 mill would be great”

@ThomasBrogden6: “Would be a class signing”

@trappinmgk: “Look at what Pep did to Akanji, and people think this guy can’t shine for us. He’s gonna be a baller”

@Omzlovesciteh: “His technical ability under Guardiola could be a scary player”

@rmhoek: “Good squad depth which we need in midfield”

@CitySZN__: “Decent rotational option. Experienced and proven winner, no problems with it we are short in CM anyway. Hope this doesn’t mean Bernardo going is nailed on”

@CityCookingOil1: “Pep can improve Kovacic massively! Has the potential to be a top class signing!”

@IsaacMCFC_: “Perfect player for our system especially if we lose Gundo”

@mcfcdomo: “Pep and his ability to improve players will make this Kovacic signing look like a bargain. Remember Akanji?”
