Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Independiente are ready to go all out to bring striker Sergio Aguero back to the club later this year.
City’s record goal scorer will enter the final year of his contract this summer and there hasn’t been any indication that he will pen fresh terms at the Etihad Stadium.
According to reports in his native South America, El Rojo have launched ‘Operation Aguero’ in a bid to persuade the prolific striker to quit the Etihad Stadium a year before his contract expires
Independiente coach Lucas Pusineri claims he’s held talks with Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero over a return with the club saving him the No 10 shirt.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, Manchester City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions with many saying that is not going to happen as its too early for their top goal scorer to leave.
‘Operation Aguero’ sounds like they got undercover agents hunting him down to persuade him to leave

Sergio Aguero had reiterated his desire to return to boyhood club Independiente when he eventually departs Manchester City.
Last year he said: “I always try [to get back to Argentina]. I know what the fans [of Independiente] want, but I have a contract with City, and I try to focus on these two years I’ve got left. Then I’ll see what I’ll do but of course, the Rojo [Independiente] is my priority.”
At 30, Aguero still has a number of years left at his peak. It is clear Independiente remain close to his heart but Aguero is clearly far from finished at City, but he is making plans for when his time at the club comes to an end.
