Manchester City made a profit of £111m during the 2024 summer transfer window, according to Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol. Despite being the lowest spenders in the Premier League, City managed to sign Savinho for £21m and Ilkay Gundogan for free, while also earning £132m from the sales of six players. The club’s record sale came from Julian Alvarez, who was sold to Atletico Madrid for £81m, along with other significant fees from players like Joao Cancelo and Liam Delap.

City’s business in the transfer window has been described as smart, as they strategically sold players to generate profit. With the window closed, the focus now shifts to on-pitch matters as City aims to potentially win a fifth consecutive Premier League title. The club’s successful transfer dealings have put them in a strong financial position and added depth to their squad for the upcoming season.
