Manchester City made their first signing of the summer transfer window by securing the arrival of Brazil international Savinho. The signing of Savinho as the new number 26 has generated excitement among supporters, especially after Riyad Mahrez’s departure for Saudi Arabia. The club is also considering potential departures, with talks of two loan deals being discussed after the upcoming pre-season tour of the United States.
Savinho has signed a five-year contract with Manchester City, with the initial transfer fee set at £21 million and potentially rising to £33.6 million with add-ons. Timeo Whisker has joined the club’s under-18s from Cardiff City, while other young talents like Xavier Parker and Guille Fernández have attracted interest from top clubs. Departures include Tomas Galvez going on loan to LASK and potential interest from Cardiff City in midfielder Alex Robertson.
In addition to Savinho, Manchester City has confirmed several other deals including Taylor Harwood-Bellis to Southampton, Liam Delap to Ipswich Town, Sergio Gomez to Real Sociedad, and Lewis Fiorini to Stockport County. Contract renewals for Stefan Ortega and Scott Carson have also been announced, solidifying the squad ahead of the upcoming season.
