Pep Guardiola assured Jack Grealish, a struggling Man City star this season, that he would regain his confidence next season and once again becomes a significant player for the squad.

Jack Grealish struggled to replicate his treble-winning success this season as a result of injury. The England international was unavailable for selection due to an injury crisis. He started just 10 league matches this season.

The winger scored just three goals and provided another three assists in all competitions for the Sky Blues, but Pep Guardiola believes he will do better next season.

The City boss told BBC Sports that the former Aston Villa man will be back to his best, explaining that Grealish direct competitor, Jeremy Doku, did incredibly in the past few weeks, but the Englishman will also rediscover his form.

“He will be back,” said Guardiola (via BBC Sport). “He’s struggled this season and Jeremy has made an incredible step forward as everyone has seen in the last games. But Jack will be back at the level of last season, I’m pretty sure.”

Despite struggling with injury this season, there are speculations that Grealish may leave Manchester City this summer. It was stated that many European giants will like to lure the talented winger to their clubs.

According to a report, Bayern Munich is one of the many teams interested in the service of the Englishman should he decides to leave Etihad Stadium this summer.

Meanwhile, the Manchester City winger was included in 33 provisional squad released by England national coach, Gareth Southgate. The City star was picked ahead of many other players, including former teammates Raheem Sterling and Manchester United’s Marcos Rashford.

Three other Manchester City players who made the list are the Premier League player of the season, Phil Foden, the City captain, Kyle Walker, and his defensive partner, John Stones.
