Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Borussia Dortmund are set to demand at least £130M for Jude Bellingham next summer.

The 19-year-old has quickly become one of the most sought-after and exciting prospects in world football. He is already regarded as a complete midfielder despite his young age and has displayed world-class performances on some of the biggest stages.

The Englishman scored the opening goal and ran the show in the middle of the park with sheer panache. The performance was indicative of the quality the youngster possesses, and has once again put a number of clubs on red alert.

According to Daily Mail, Jude Bellingham will spark a £130m bidding war between Man City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid next summer after World Cup heroics against Iran.

Everyone watched Bellingham run the show for England in the 6-2 win over Iran on Monday. He has done the same in the Bundesliga and Champions League this season, so there’s plenty of reason to believe he can do it in the Premier League.

Bellingham’s price tag is going to sky rocket during the tournament, if he can continue these performances ahead of a potential summer transfer.

The report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters. Here’s how City fans on Twitter reacted to the news.

“No way! 130m we may aswell go and get Enzo Fernandez. Sure Jude might be a great player but 130m not it for a midfielder.”

“Another overpriced English player. He’s good for a 19-year-old player but he’s nothing special. He’s getting all this spotlight because he’s English, there are many young players as good and even better. I doubt Pep would sanction this transfer.”

“We can pay that no worries”

“We just made 100 million profit in transfers. Bellingham should be our number one target, we need to solidify the midfield for the future.”

“Honestly he’s worth it. He’s 19. If we sign him, we’ll have him for 10+ years god willing.”

“Considering the bargain prices for Haaland and Akanji, this seems more than fair.”
