Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that revealed the add-ons clauses in Ferran Torres’ Barcelona move that could net the club an extra 10 million euros.
The Spain forward is set to join Guardiola’s former club when the transfer window opens next month after the Premier League champions accepted a 55 million Euros plus some easily attainable add ons offer from the Catalan giants.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have agreed on the potential of 10 million euros in add ons, should certain criteria be met.
And, as per Spanish outlet Marca, these are split into four categories.
Firstly, if Barcelona win the Champions League and if Torres plays 70% of the games, they will receive a further 2.5 million euros.
Then, if Ferran Torres wins either the golden boot in La Liga, or the Ballon D’or, Manchester City will receive 2.5 million euros (in each case).
Then, finally, if Xavi’s side sell Torres for a fee in excess of 100 million euros, The Citizens will be due a further 2.5 million euros.
How much of the 10 million will the Premier League side see?
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, many Man City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
I don’t get this. Can anyone explain what the variables have to do with the 55m price?
