Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly’s potential move to the Etihad.
The Citizens have been negotiating with Napoli for several weeks over their asking price for the Senegalese, with Aurelio de Laurentiis looking to make at least €90m after turning down €100m last summer.
City are reported to already have personal terms with the player and are now just looking to agree on a deal with Napoli. It is understood City had offered as much as £63m, leaving the two clubs far apart in terms of the final fee.
According to The Sun, Napoli agreeing a deal for Koulibaly seem increasingly slim, with the two clubs miles apart on their valuation.
In the eyes of Napoli head coach Gennaro Gattuso, Koulibaly is likely to stay with them unless City or any other club can meet the asking price of £80m whicH the Citizens believe is unrealistic for a 29-year-old.

I know it’s Sun, but is Koulibaly the only centre back in the world that would fit in our team. Why aren’t we interested in someone else?— dmco_45 (@David_Orsolic) September 12, 2020
Dont know what to believe now,but seeing him being risked on friendlies means the deal is still far https://t.co/6F5rFiqb2Q all this time this is what we get,i really hope we still can salvage this window soon.Cant be approaching clubs on last week of window for their players— Cityzennn (@thecityzensfc) September 12, 2020

We need to pursue other players, this player is not worth £80 million— Neil Turner (@neilturner240) September 13, 2020
Also Upamecano doesn’t fit the brief, City want a experienced leader who’s a Right footed CB who can fit City’s style of play. I actually think if Koulibaly isn’t obtainable look at Hummels at least he fits the profile more.— Jonathan (@Jonathanctid) September 12, 2020
