Manchester City officials are considering making a move for Crystal Palace and England international Eberechi Eze to strengthen their midfield this summer. With concerns over the aging Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva, Eze could provide the creative spark needed in the team, along with potential target Bruno Guimaraes.

Guardiola sees Eze as a possible replacement for De Bruyne in the future, with a reported release clause in Eze’s contract at £60-70 million. The interest in Eze is not exclusive to Manchester City, as Arsenal and Tottenham have also shown interest in the player this summer. There is also admiration for German talents Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz, along with James McAtee from City’s Academy.

Despite initial interest last summer in Eze, City turned to Matheus Nunes instead. However, with a potential departure of key midfielders in the future, City is considering Eze as a viable option to strengthen their ranks for the long term. Guardiola has spoken highly of the 26-year-old and City officials are weighing up their options for the upcoming season.
