Earlier this month, Sport Witness relayed revived Manchester City interest in AS Roma’s Wesley.
The stance was that Pep Guardiola is a fan of the wing-back, who has been one of Roma’s most important players this season. The Brazilian star was hyped as the ‘new Cafu’, with the player making an impact in Rome in only a matter of months.
Wesley has become a favourite of manager Gian Piero Gasperini, who has also utilised the defender at left wing-back. This hasn’t held him back, with the player impressing just as much in that position too.
