Manchester City is set to earn money from Aro Muric’s impending transfer from Burnley to Ipswich Town, making him the second player to move from the City Football Academy to Portman Road this summer. Ipswich has already secured the signing of former Manchester City striker Liam Delap. The 21-year-old Delap chose Ipswich over Southampton after both clubs placed £20 million bids, becoming Muric’s teammate.

Muric, a Kosovo international, made the move to Turf Moor from Etihad Stadium in 2022. He has made 38 appearances since his senior debut in 2018 and played in the final 10 matches of the recent season for Burnley. Ipswich Town has agreed to an initial £8 million deal with Burnley for the goalkeeper, with the transfer fee potentially rising to over £10 million with add-ons. Manchester City will receive a percentage of the initial transfer fee due to a sell-on clause in the contract agreement with Burnley.

In addition to Muric’s impending transfer, Manchester City has also earned money from Douglas Luiz’s move from Aston Villa to Juventus and the signing of Taylor Harwood-Bellis to Southampton. With Kieran McKenna planning to add Muric to his squad for the upcoming season, there is a possibility for further revenue for Manchester City from Ipswich Town.
