Manchester City has set a price tag of €70 million with another €20 million in add-ons for Julian Alvarez amid interest from clubs in La Liga and Spanish football. The Argentina international, who has been seeking more opportunities as a leading striker in Europe, is currently participating in international tournaments for his country.
Despite interest from various clubs including Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea, Atletico Madrid has been the most serious suitor for Alvarez. However, Atletico Madrid has been informed of Manchester City’s valuation and may struggle to meet the price tag due to financial constraints in European football, particularly in Spain.
If a deal is reached, Manchester City would make a substantial profit on Alvarez, who was signed from River Plate for just £14 million two years ago. The club may also need to find a replacement for Alvarez in the current summer market, although options are limited.
