Girona will find it difficult to retain Manchester City’s Vitor Reis beyond this season.

The 20-year-old first moved to Europe when the Premier League club signed him from Brazilian side Palmeiras in January 2025.

Pep Guardiola limited him to a minute of action in the league in the second half of last season as he made only four appearances for Manchester City.

The restricted role saw the Etihad club send the centre-back on a season-long loan to Girona in August 2025.

The move has worked out well as he enjoyed regular game time under Míchel. He played 2,477 minutes from 27 matches for the La Liga side so far.
