Manchester City is reportedly leading the race to sign Bayern Munich and Germany’s Jamal Musiala, a rising attacking midfield talent who has already achieved significant success at a young age. Having won multiple titles with Bayern, Musiala’s impressive performances have attracted interest from top clubs, with Manchester City showing the most advanced interest in securing his signature.
Despite Musiala’s contract expiring in 2026, he has not shown much inclination to renew it, leading to speculation that he could be available for a transfer this year or next. Manchester City’s desire to strengthen their attacking options has led them to consider moves for Musiala, as well as other players like Lucas Paqueta and Michael Olise, who can play multiple roles in the forward line.
Liverpool, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain are also reportedly monitoring Musiala, but Manchester City appears to be in a strong position to secure the 21-year-old’s services. While potential obstacles like an ongoing investigation into Paqueta’s gambling allegations exist, City remains focused on bolstering their attacking options and could potentially land one or more of their top targets in the upcoming transfer window.
