Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson expressed his disappointment with the Premier League for not including teammate Rodri in the Player of the Season award shortlist. Ederson described the decision as “absurd” and highlighted Rodri’s consistent performance and contribution to the team’s success.
Rodri has been a key player for Manchester City this season, with the team unbeaten in the 33 league games he has played in. The midfielder’s importance to the reigning Premier League champions is evident in their unbeaten run of 73 games in which he has featured.
Despite Rodri’s omission from the shortlist, two of his teammates, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden, were nominated for the award. The winner will be announced on Saturday 18th May, with fans having the opportunity to vote for their favorite player before the voting closed on Monday.
