Lots of Manchester City supporters were impressed with the performance of Joao Cancelo in their comfortable 4-0 victory away to Newcastle United.
Pep Guardiola’s side, who are looking to retain their top flight crown, maintained their imperious winning run thanks to goals from Ruben Dias, Joao Cancelo, Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling on Tyneside.
The most talking points of the game was Cancelo’s stunner goal. The Portugal international was the pick of the bunch as Manchester City claimed top spot in the Premier League for Christmas.
Cancelo has been one of Europe’s best fullbacks this season, and after Trent Alexander-Arnold’s thunderbolt against Newcastle in midweek, Cancelo repeated the feat with a brilliant goal of his own.
Cancelo was just Unplayable. He Created the first goal with a perfectly-timed run and then double his side’s advantage with an incredible strike.
On his 100th City appearance, Cancelo proved it’s justifiable to argue he’s the best in the world on the right, as well as on the left. His form and ability to play both left and right-back has made him a mainstay in the City XI.
After scoring a contender for the Premier League goal of the season, City fans on social media were left speechless by what Cancelo did at St. James Park.
