Manchester City striker Erling Haaland went viral on social media after eagle-eyed fans spotted his hilarious exchange with Everton defender Ben Godfrey.
City were held to a 1-1 draw against Everton at the Etihad on Saturday, with Pep Guardiola’s men dropping valuable points in the Premier League title race.
Haaland opened the scoring on Saturday afternoon against Frank Lampard’s side, but was uncharacteristically hot-headed throughout the game and was unable to find a way past Everton’s’ resilient backline during the second half.
Inside the first minute, the Norwegian striker went down injured after Godfrey caught him when challenging for a header before landing on his Achilles which removed his boot. It set the tone for the rest of the match.
The pair continued to clash during the game with little niggly fouls and pushes every time the ball went near them.
Going head-to-head with Ben Godfrey at the Etihad Stadium, the Premier League top scorer was seen wildly celebrating his goal in the face of the Everton centre-back and was not shy of pushing Godfrey around during the contest.
He was celebrating once again later in the first half after winning a foul against the Everton defender. He put his arms in the air and whipped up the crowd, clearly feeling he hadn’t been getting much joy from the official despite Godfrey’s constant fouling.
Haaland allowed his frustrations to boil over with a strong lunging tackle on Vitalii Mykolenko which earned him a yellow card – although Everton believed it should have been a red.
Then came the hilarious moment where Haaland appeared to mock the Everton man, with a sarcastic impression of him.
Haaland could be spotted pulling a funny face and appearing to exchange words with Godfrey, with the pair also pushing one another.
A full video, via Match of the Day, shows the full battle between the players all afternoon at the Etihad and it’s no wonder Haaland was wound up.

One fan posted in response to the footage: “Why does he look like he’s mimicking a teacher?”
Someone else added: “When my man put up the air quotes, this became advanced savagery.”
While a third Twitter user wrote: “This has cheered me right up.”
“Absolutely brilliant by Godfrey,” a fourth fan argued.
And a fifth said: “This bloke lost his head yesterday and I love it.”
