Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update of the club’s interest in Aston Villa’s midfielder Jack Grealish.
The 25-year-old featured on City’s list of potential recruits during the last transfer window and he was admired at Etihad, but there were no discussions with Villa during the summer over a deal.
Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the midfielder, having consistently heaped praise on Grealish throughout last season.
According to the Daily Star, the Citizens have been impressed by the attacker’s development, and the England international has now become ‘the main focus of City’s attentions’.
City are said to be thinking of launching a double bid of £100 million for both Grealish and former player Douglas Luiz.
Grealish, who is thought to be valued by Villa in excess of £70m, was believed to be a target for Manchester United over the summer after an impressive finish to the 2019-20 season.
The Villa captain sign a new five-year contract in mid-September and has had a brilliant start to the top-flight season, contributing four goals and six assists in seven Premier League appearances this season.

Here we go again, overhyped Englishman. A little better than Gundogan if you ask me.

Shit source but all these recent rumours about a move for Grealish is making me think we might genuinely be looking at him 🤔 we’ll just have to see

Would take Grealish any day..guy is a baller..makes things happen which we lack this season..too much walking pace and sideways passing

Fantastic player. Would be immense in our lineup. Probably worth more than £70M if Maguire was £85M and I can’t see us paying that.

You’re clueless mate, Grealish is worth more than £80m.
He has the potential to reach the heights of KDB in 3-4 years time if he continues to develop at his current rate.— Fin (@__Finlay__) November 15, 2020
