Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the premier league champions are reluctant to bid over £50M for Marc Cucurella.
The Spaniard has been linked with a move to the Etihad since the summer transfer window began, but Pep Guardiola’s side are yet to make an official bid.
Marc Cucurella is reportedly interested in the move to City, and teased the transfer on social media last month.
City have held their stance firm from the beginning, and Brighton have said they would have to consider a bid if one came through the door.
According to Graeme Bailey, Man City are reluctant to bid over £50M for Marc Cucurella – the minimum amount Brighton would accept for the left-back.
Things may change if and inevitably when Manchester City do decide to put in a bid, but for now, they won’t pay £50million.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

“Honestly I won’t bid £50M for Cucurella when we can have one of our academy players in that position to assist Zinchenko and Cancello.”

“Agreed, now go for Raum.”

“He’s a good player, he could become great under Pep but he’s not worth 50 million at the moment.”

“Brighton is asking too much. Around £40-45M should be more than enough. If not it’s ok, we have all we need with Cancelo Walker and Zinchenko.”

“It’s ridiculous!! Cancelo, Trent, Robertson, James could cost this amount of money… Not Cucurella.”
