Erling Haaland has named his favorite stadium among all the ones he has played in aside from the Etihad Stadium.

The Norwegian footballer has had a remarkable career, playing for clubs in Norway, Austria, Germany, and England, and competing in major events such as the Champions League and playing for his national team. Due to this, he has had the opportunity to play in some of the most legendary stadiums around the world.

During the last season, Haaland played in the semi-final of the Champions League at the Santiago Bernabeu for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, which is considered to be one of the most historic stadiums in football history.

Also, while playing for Borussia Dortmund, Haaland played against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on numerous occasions and faced Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes in the Champions League in 2020.

Despite being only 23 years old, Haaland has experienced playing in some of the best stadiums in world football. He says his favorite stadium apart from Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium is Borussia Dortmund’s iconic home ground.

“I’ll take Signal Iduna Park, the Dortmund one”, he said on The Official Man City Podcast (via YouTube).

Haaland has always expressed his admiration for the Dortmund supporters and the electric atmosphere they create at the Signal Iduna Park, which is particularly known for being extremely vocal on matchdays, especially when facing elite opposition.

Regarding playing in one of English football’s most popular grounds, Haaland once exclaimed “Beautiful, huh?” when walking into the Etihad Stadium prior to Manchester City’s 2-1 victory against the German giants in the Champions League in the 2020/2021 season. This shows that Haaland has always had his sights set on playing in the most popular English football grounds.
