Manchester City is the only unbeaten team in the Premier League after eight games, winning six and drawing two while scoring the most goals in the division. Erling Haaland has been a standout player, scoring 10 goals in eight league matches. Despite a recent goal drought in the league, pundit Darren Bent believes Haaland’s mindset is not affected, pointing to his recent goals for Norway and in the Champions League. Bent expects Haaland to start scoring in the league again soon and backs him to become a Premier League legend with City.
Bent also predicts that Haaland could break Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League goals record if he stays at City for a significant period of time. Although Haaland has not scored in his last three league appearances, his mindset, according to Bent, will not be affected, but City and their supporters will hope he returns to scoring form soon to aid their title challenge. Overall, Bent considers Haaland to be one of the greatest goalscorers in world football and expects him to continue to excel in the Premier League.
