According to a new report on Monday, there is a belief that Manchester City don’t worry’ about Pep Guardiola future and hold an important hand in convincing him to remain at the club beyond 2023.

After replacing Manuel Pellegrini at the helm, Guardiola has been pivotal to City’s success in recent seasons, with several players lauding the 51-year-old for his tactical acumen and knowledge of the game.

The Spaniard is contracted at the Etihad Stadium until 2023 and could extend that, but expects to work elsewhere at some point in the future.

Simon Mullock via the Mirror reported earlier this month that Manchester City’s players believe Pep Guardiola will sign a new contract to stay at the Etihad beyond next year.

According to transfer expert Dean Jones via Givemesport, City ‘don’t worry’ about another top European team enticing manager Pep Guardiola away from the club, according to Journalist.

“Pep knows there is no pressure on him to sign a new deal, and equally City don’t worry about him being poached – there’s not another big club they think he’d leave for in Europe,” Jones said.

“If anything then, NYCFC is open to him next, and that path will be there, if and when, he fancies it from City. He loves what he’s doing, and this 2.0 version he’s begun could be very exciting.”

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Guardiola and City, having previously led Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
