Manchester City fans have been reacting to the embarrassing defeat dished out to their premier league title rivals at the hands of Aston Villa.
Premier League champion Liverpool were humiliated 7-2 by Aston Villa to end its perfect start to the title defense on Sunday.
Ollie Watkins scored a first-half hat-trick and Jack Grealish played a starring role as the Midlands club humiliated the champions at Villa Park with a remarkable performance on Sunday night.
Liverpool are the first reigning English top-flight champions to ship seven goals in a league match since Arsenal against Sunderland in September 1953.
Earlier on Sunday, Liverpool’s great rivals Manchester United were also humiliated – losing 6-1 at home to Tottenham and their former manager Jose Mourinho.
This will be of little consolation to Manchester City fans, who were held by Leeds United following their 5-2 defeat to LeicesterCity last week.
City could have find themselves eight points behind Liverpool by the end of the weekend should Jurgen Klopp’s men had maintain their perfect start of the season.

Such a great day! Thought we were down when we lost 5-2, but turns out we’re holding the fort better than our rivals despite all the injuries since our start.
