Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which appears to be teasing rival fans on how Manchester United can finance the signing of Etihad bound Valencia winger Ferran Torres.
Torres is expected to sign a contract through June 2025 as City’s newest Spanish international, after the Blues and Valencia reached an official agreement for Spanish winger.
Manchester United are reportedly edging closer to former City youngster Jadon Sancho transfer after cooling their interest in Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.
Sancho, 20, was a target for United last summer but he rejected a move to the club following their failure to secure Champions League football. The former Manchester City midfielder is now keen on moving to Old Trafford.
With the Citizens securing the signing of Ferran Torres, City fans have taunted their United rivals as they believe the Valencia Winger’s deal could be financed by Jadon Sancho’s 20% sell on clause.
Dortmund still want €120million (£109m) for the England forward but United value the former Manchester City academy prospect at closer to €98m (£89m).
The two clubs are still negotiating the fee but it is unlikely the German side will budge from their valuation.
In reaction to the post shared on Twitter by City Chief, City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions with many fans teasing and urging united to sign Sancho.
If United pay the asking price for sancho we get 18-20 million from the deal which pretty means they have paid for the deal for Torres #Mcfc #mufc #torres #sancho— Raheemsterling7 (@STERLINGRAZZ7) July 29, 2020
Funny how United can strengthen City😂— Mads Fossum (@slegga05) July 29, 2020

Yea, their fanbase are already in a frenzy about getting him. It will be a downer if they don’t. That’s probably why Dortmund are digging in— Chuka (@gunsbugsnpower) July 29, 2020
Suddenly don’t mind if he joins now— onemilli (@onemilli1) July 29, 2020
Things you love to hear. If United buy Sancho then we get paid 20 mil because of the contract we did with Dortmund when he went there, so united are basically buying Ferran Torres for us 😂— Lewis 💯 (@Lewis_MCR) July 30, 2020
