Manchester City is set to see Txiki Begiristain leave the club after spending 12 years as the sporting director. There are also rumors that Pep Guardiola, who has been the manager for eight years, may follow suit when his contract ends in June. Pundits are speculating on who could replace Guardiola, with Alan Brazil suggesting that Vincent Kompany, currently managing Bayern Munich, could be the ideal successor based on his performance.
Kompany has led Bayern to success, winning six out of nine games with 33 goals scored. Guardiola has expressed his belief that it is destiny for Kompany to manage City, citing his work ethic, knowledge of the game, and understanding of the club, fans, and environment. Brazil’s suggestion of Kompany as Guardiola’s potential replacement is based on his successful stint at Bayern and could be considered by City’s hierarchy in the search for a new manager.
