Manchester City fans have slammed Jack Grealish for his poor performance in Wednesday’s 2-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
A year on from Jack Grealish’s £100million move to Man City and it hasn’t quite clicked yet.
The 27-year-old was underwhelming in City’s 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund, playing 58 minutes before being replaced by Phil Foden.
Nothing was coming off for Grealish out wide and Thomas Meunier defended admirably. In fact, City failed to register a shot on target until Stones’ speculative effort.
Guardiola had seen enough after 58 minutes and replaced Grealish with Phil Foden, who ended up offering more of a threat in attack and City made it two wins from two in Group G.
Grealish is undoubtedly talented, but he is still to justify that huge fee that was paid to Aston Villa last summer.
The winger has six goals in 43 games for City, but is yet to really make an impact in the 2022/23 season.
It’s year two now however and many are starting to lose patience. Here is how Man City fans are reacting to Grealish’s performance:
“Grealish is starting to look like a really bad signing…”

“Jack grealish is so boring to watch. My stress levels keep increasing Everytime he gets the ball”

“He was really good at the start of the season. He just came back from an injury. Call me crazy, but I still believe in him..”

“Not sure if Grealish is being told to be boring or he’s just gone completely off the boil. Is he being managed correctly only he and Pep will know!”

“Don’t ever want to see Grealish start an important game.. He should only play Friendlies.. Maybe he should try Modeling instead of football.”

“Jack Grealish is starting to look like an 100m flop. Forget the sentiment, he isn’t adding to the team. ”

“I am beginning to wonder about 100 million man Jack Grealish.”

Think grealish would be much better if he wasn’t so afraid of losing the ball, he’s actually too cautious he’s so good when he takes players on and he’s not doing that .”

“Not trying to be reactionary, but this might very well be Jack Grealish’s last season at the club. It all depends on whether he can step it up – it’s still early, but my guts are telling me that Rafael Leao will play in sky blue next season.”

I’m not interested in Jack Grealish slander, yesterday the whole team were well off the boil until the three amigos appeared. Unfair to single out Jack in this instance and he’s not been fit this season. Have some patience blues 💙 pic.twitter.com/7s5CcLdzUC
