Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Brighton are interested in Liam Delap as they consider striker options.
The 19-year-old is likely to be available on loan and could come into discussions as City look to negotiate a deal for Brighton defender Marc Cucurella.
Delap has played 10 games for the Manchester City U23s and scored 8 goals whilst also providing 2 assists. He also scored his first professional goal for City in the EFL Cup.
Delap certainly has a lot of potential to improve with the limited game time he’s had with the club.
According to the Daily Mail, it is understood that Brighton & Hove Albion are set to be ‘interested’ in signing Liam Delap as they are assess striker options ahead of new season.
Further details suggest that the imposing goalscorer is said to be available on loan and could come into discussions as City aim to reduce the fee for Marc Cucurella down to £40 million.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

“It’s a bit yes and no to me. I don’t know how well Liam would do in Brighton as Brighton is a bit upper-tier team than, let’s say, Southhampton. But if the boy himself wanted it, then why not..”

“This is a perfect move for both parties. Delap at Brighton would gain great tactical education from Potter and be conditioned to playing in a possession heavy side. Brighton also need some decisiveness/outlet play from their 9, which Delap has in abundance. He’s physically ready..”
