Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report of the club’s interest in River Plate midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
Fernandez has enjoyed a bright start to the current season, following up on his performances from the last term. Those displays have attracted attention from some of the major clubs in Europe.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been linked with Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and West Ham United after breaking into the River first team last year.
According to City Xtra, City have already spoken with the player’s representatives at least once and a move to the Etihad Stadium is certainly on the cards.
The report claims City’s Director of Football Txiki Begiristain is very fond of the 21-year-old and specifically wants him to join the club this summer.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
