Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Barcelona are ‘getting closer’ to an agreement with the club for the transfer of Ferran Torres.
Torres has emerged as a transfer target for Barca in recent days and the Spanish giants have reportedly reached an agreement with the youngster over a transfer, with the transfer fee the only major detail left to be sorted.
On Monday, Sport explained the La Liga side have no intention to pay more than €40m for the forward, while the Citizens are asking in excess of €60m.
According to Mundo Deportivo as relayed by Sport witnesses, Barcelona and Man City are ‘getting closer’ to an agreement for Ferran Torres, and there is ‘little difference’ between Pep Guardiola’s starting price and Barca’s offer.
The report states that the agreement between both club ‘seems on the right track’ and should nothing go wrong, Ferran Torres will join Barcelona in January.
The report adds that Joan Laporta’s good personal relationship with Pep Guardiola, and also Mateu Alemany’s good relationship with Ferran Soriano, can help the operation come to fruition.
In light to the update, many Man City fans have reacted – here are some of their responses.
It probably means that we went from demanding €70m to €70

“Our starting price” so it should be closer to €60m. Anything less is a joke https://t.co/SM2zR3x8X9

If we’re willing to let him go in January instead of end of the season we must be making a signing in january

Just let him go, he don’t want to play for us anymore. Better do let him go and get the money to buy a striker in January.
