Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is eyeing a move for Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric when his contract expires next summer.
According to Catalan newspaper El Nacional as relayed by Sport witness, Man City are eyeing a move for Luka Modric when his Real Madrid contract expires next summer, with Guardiola considering him as ‘the ideal midfielder’.
The report claims the defending premier league champions are willing to offer the Real Madrid midfielder a contract at the club, but ending at New York City.
Guardiola wants another player like Sergio Busquets, a man who can bring ‘balance’ to the middle of the park, which is why he is now ‘considering again’ a move for Modric, who he believes could still play an important role despite his age.
The Croatia international’s reliance on passing and creation has seen him earn comparisons with the likes of Andrea Pirlo and Andres Iniesta.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City chief, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

It’s definitely not true but imagine a midfield of De Bruyne, Modric and Gundogan 😂 we’d have like 90% possession every game ffs
