Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the chances of Gabriel Jesus and Ederson being out of the squad vs Leicester are ‘low’.
As reported by the Times on wednesday, Man City have been informed by FIFA that they will be unable to select their Brazilian players for a five-day period or risk possible sanctions.
The ban is a direct consequence of clubs refusing to release stars for international duty due to games being played in red-list countries.
Ederson and Gabriel Jesus is one of eight Premier League stars to be hit by FIFA ban – opening the door for veteran stopper Scott Carson to make a rare start as No.2 goalkeeper Zack Steffen tested positive for Covid-19 while on duty with the United States national team.
According to Stuart Brennan for Manchester Evening News, Parties are working to come to a sensible solution, with the Premier league in negotiations with Brazil – a solution is expected in 24 hours.
However, the report adds that the chances of Ederson and his fellow Brazil international Gabriel Jesus being out of the squad for Saturday’s trip to Leicester are low.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
