RB Leipzig midfielder Kevin Kampl has issued a defiant warning to Manchester City ahead of next weekâs Champions League Group A opener at the Etihad Stadium.
The defending Premier League champions have been drawn into Group A alongside superstar-laden Paris Saint-Germain, Bundesliga side RB Leipzig and Belgian outfit Club Brugge.
RB Leipzig face Manchester City in the Champions League next week as the Cityzens embark on their latest quest to claim the Champions League trophy having reached the final last year.
In a recent interview with his club, Kevin Kampl commented on his sideâs upcoming Champions League match against Manchester City.
âCity also have one of the best teams in world football,â Kampl told Leipzigâs club website.
âThey have a lot of quality, and on paper youâd say that PSG and City should progress.
âBut we can surprise people and we have it in us to upset any team. We will give everything to get out of the group because otherwise there is no point playing.â
In reaction to this Kevin Kamplâs quote shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, many City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
Could see them doing that tbh. Just hope it's against PSG

Leipzig definitely have the ability to upset either PSG and Man City who are favorite in the group, having advanced deep into the competition back in the 2019/20 campaign.
Last term, Leipzig made it to the last-16 stage, but were beaten 4-0 by Liverpool over two legs. They did, however, finish runners-up to PSG in Group H, knocking United out of the competition in the process.
