Pep Guardiola has been handed a huge boost at Manchester City ahead of their trip to Leicester City this weekend, Kevin De Bruyne in contention to feature for the game on Saturday after training with the squad this week.
De Bruyne struggled with an injury he picked up at Euro 2020, where he limped off with an ankle injury in the quarter-final win over Portugal.
Despite that, he came on for the final ten minutes against Tottenham for Pep Guardiola’s side first game of the season but failed to shake off the injury problem.
The Belgian international has return to training and could be fit enough to feature against the Foxes on Saturday afternoon.
According to Jack Gaughan for the Daily Mail, De Bruyne is putting himself in contention to feature for Man City on Saturday after training with the rest of the squad this week.
Guardiola is likely to make a late call on his fitness before the trip to Leicester City, while fellow midfielder Phil Foden has largely still been undergoing individual sessions as he works his way back from a foot injury.
In reaction to the news shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City Chief, Man City fans as usual have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

I’d rather him just stay on the bench than possibly get injured again

Pep better not play him against Leicester
