Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez has talked about the future of Manchester City outlining new signing Jack Grealish and youngster Phil Foden.
Grealish has just joined City for a record-breaking £100m and has declared his Champions League wish. while Foden has impressed last season under Pep Guardiola being a regular at his young age.
The Manchester City midfielder enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at the Etihad Stadium last season, scoring 16 goals and registering eight assists in all competitions before heading to the European Championship with England.
Foden started the first two group games but struggled to make a real impact, before dropping out of the starting lineup as the Three Lions made it to the final.
He picked up an injury before the game against Italy that is likely to rule him out until after the next international break but the former World Cup and Euros winner with Spain wishes he’d seen more of him.
Speaking to The Times in an exclusive interview, Xavi said: “I think he is an unreal talent for a lot of reasons. He has an amazing work rate, but also his decision-making is ace. He’s strong, quick, has a sense of goal, great passer and shooter… There’s everything in the pack.
“Jack Grealish another player that captivated me. His quality is immense.” he added.
These Xavi’s comment has prompt Plenty of Sky Blues to react on social media.
