Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club Pep Guardiola and his bosses have drawn up a list of alternative striker options after Harry Kane twist.
The Premier League champions are in the market for a forward to replace Sergio Agüero, who left the club after a ten-year spell in Manchester and Harry Kane has been their top target in the ongoing transfer window.
The Premier League champions are thought to be have made a £100m offer for the England captain but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to part ways with Kane this summer and has slapped a staggering £150m price tag on the marksman’s head to fend off potential suitors.
Reports emerged on Thursday night that City had agreed a £160million deal with Spurs, after the London club’s chairman Daniel Levy had performed a U-turn and acceded to Kane ‘s request for a move.
It further claimed that Kane would be given a contract worth £400,000-a-week at City.
However, Stuart Brennan of the Manchester Evening News on Friday reported that Man City are firm in saying they would never pay the kind of figure [£160M] being reported in the press for Kane.
Acording to Martin Blackburn for The Sun newspaper, Pep Guardiola and his Man City bosses have drawn up a list of alternative forwards as they look to replace Sergio Aguero.
The report adds that as things stand, all focus is on Harry Kane and the Premier League champions are happy to be patient.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.
