Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is in talks with Ruben Dias and John Stones over contract extensions at the club.
Dias signed for Manchester City last summer and helped Pep Guardiola’s side to the Premier League title with the defender now set to be rewarded for his performances.
Alongside Dias, John Stones’ revival was one of the highlights of the campaign. The pair compliment each other perfectly, forming a surprisingly solid defence.
Daily Star Sport reported last week that Dias was in line to receive a pay rise following his brilliant first season with the club.
According to Manchester Evening News, both Ruben Dias and John Stones are highly regarded by the Manchester City hierarchy and the club are ‘understood to be in talks with both players over contract extensions’.
John Stones, who was also named to the PFA Team of the Year last term, has just one year remaining on his Manchester City contract and club officials are keen to retain his services.
The news was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.
