Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims the club is preparing a two-year contract offer for Real Madrid centre-back Sergio Ramos.
The 35-year-old’s contract situation at the Bernabeu remains unresolved, meaning that as it stands he has played his final game for the club and will become a free agent next month.
According to ESPN, Pep Guardiola is a keen admirer of Ramos’s leadership and experience, and the club are willing to offer the defender a two-year deal this summer.
The report adds that Ramos is still keen to extend his Madrid contract by another two years, but the La Liga giants are not willing to budge on their one-year policy for players over 30.
While the Spaniard may be reaching the twilight of his career now, he has been one of the very best central defenders in world football.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, many Man City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
Though some City fans shared that they’d love to see him at the Etihad, plenty of other simply indicated that the club doesn’t need another Centre back.
Won't happen, but would be amazing

I don't mind him leaving. If he doesn't find competition between players for the starting 11 healthy, he can leave. Also there many matches in the Epl. If rotation is not it, he can go.

If this happens, comes to City only means something…Laporte🇫🇷🇪🇸 will leaves. Ramos🇪🇸 of course will not be 3rd option. Dias🇵🇹 neither, of course should be 1st option so… Dias & Ramos main defenders? Yes really good but then Stones🏴 going again as 3rd or 4th option? Mmm…🤔
