Paris St Germain will make a late decision on Kylian Mbappe’s fitness for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final against Manchester City.
The World Cup-winning France striker is a doubt for Tuesday’s encounter at the Etihad Stadium with a calf problem.
The 22 year old Frenchman did not play in Saturday’s Ligue 1 game against Lens due to a calf injury. He had a quiet evening in the first game in Paris, with City taking a 2-1 lead back to the Etihad on Tuesday.
Manager Pochettino said at his pre-match press conference Today (Monday) he is going to start an individual training session and see if he can be with the team.
“I think we need to assess Kylian. Today he is going to start training individually and then we’ll see if he can be with the team at the end,” Pochettino told reporters at a press conference on Monday just before his side’s last training session prior to the game.
“There is still one day and we have not yet decided if he can be available or not to play,” added Pochettino.
Mbappe will be a major loss for the Parisians if he is unavailable for the game against City – with his presence being crucial to their aim of winning the biggest accolade in European club football for the first time in their history.

Man can’t just train on his own and not with the team and then start…

He will likely play but won’t be 100% regardless. Interesting situation but we are Man City we can beat any team on the globe no matter if they are fully fit or not. To be crowned the best we have to beat the best
