Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club is contemplating on whether to make an approach for Inter Milan defender Achraf Hakimi.
The 22-year-old has starred is one of the most exciting young full backs in European football. He has starred in Serie A this season, contributing six goals and three assists as a wing-back for Antonio Conte’s side.
According to Calciomercato, City could join Arsenal, who have been a long standing interest in the €50m-rated defender and Chelsea in attempting to sign Inter full-back this summer.
However, he won’t come cheap, with the report saying Inter would demand more than the €40 million they paid to sign Hakimi in July, 2020.
The former Real Madrid defender is still has just under four-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.
It remains to be seen what Man City do in the summer, but it’s clear the club need a new left back with neither Benjamin Mendy or Oleksandr Zinchenko completely convincing in recent seasons.
