Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims Erling Haaland does not want to come to England until later on in his career.
The Norwegian striker, who has been heavily linked with a move to Etihad, is one of Europe’s hottest properties and his performance in its biggest competition this year could influence his next step.
According to The Independent, Haaland wants to eventually play in the premier league, but maybe ‘not for some time’ because the Premier League is the most physically demanding, with the most rigorous schedule, and it does create the possibility that power-based players burn out quicker.
Manchester City and Manchester United are ‘watching closely’, but the strength of the player’s camp means this isn’t just a case of Mino Raiola selling to the highest bidder.
The report claims that Haaland is apparently aware of the way that young strikers who played a lot of Premier League football early have seen their careers burn out, citing Reds icons Fernando Torres and Michael Owen, who both suffered hamstring problems which dulled their pace considerably.
They report that Real Madrid are the Borussia Dortmund striker’s preferred next destination but it remains to be seen if Madrid have the funds to land Haaland in the summer, given their own financial situation.
The Independent report that Haaland will cost in excess of £100 million if he is to be signed before a 75 million euro (£65 million) release clause becomes active in the summer of 2022.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, many Man City fans have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
Raiola isn’t welcomed in City, so by that means, Halaand WILL NOT be a City player in the future, end of discussions

It isn’t only depends on Pep relationship with Raiola, the whole City’s chiefs don’t like his way of dealing with other clubs in your behinds, look how many clubs Ibrhmovic, played for? Almost ten clubs, same applies to Super Mario and Halaand yet 20 years, but played for 4 clubs😂

We’ll have to be patient and see what happens. We’ll have stories suggesting things either way for the next few months. My take is if you’re offered the chance to replace Aguero, work with Pep and win trophies for the next ten years, you jump at that chance whenever it comes
