Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is considering activating their buy-back clause on Schalke winger Rabbi Matondo.
The €8m-rated star was compared to Leroy Sane in 2019 thanks to his blistering pace and direct running style, but he hasn’t quite kicked on at Schalke.
The Welsh international left City’s academy to try his luck in the Bundesliga like Sancho. His success has been very limited with just three appearances this season.
According to The Telegraph, Manchester City are considering their buy-back option for Rabbi Matondo before his loan to Stoke City from Schalke is completed.
The report claimed that Stoke City have agreed to take Matondo on loan, and are now waiting on City’s final decision on buying Matondo back for around £6.5M.
At 20-years-old, Matondo can still improve and a loan at Stoke will be to his benefit.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, Many City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Tbh I wouldn’t be all too against this
Could make a decent squad player, when I watched Schalke VS Bayern he was the only one actually giving it a go and trying to make something happen, we’ll just have to see

He’s good from what I’m hearing, schalke is shit, he needs better football and in a squad like city he’ll play well

We only want him back to sell him for a bit of profit. He’s not going to play with us.
