Pep Guardiola has opened up on his furious rant at the fourth official as Manchester City were held to a frustrating draw by West Brom on Tuesday night.
The City boss was fuming that only four minutes was added on, and was seen remonstrating with Taylor and even standing in front of the official as he tried to hold up the board in the 89th minute with the game poised at 1-1.
Pep Guardiola questioned the decision to only award four minutes of injury time in Manchester City’s game with West Bromwich Albion.
“It wasn’t a problem, I said four minutes from my point of view was not enough,” he said after the game.
“I think Gabriel was down for three minutes, there were six substitutions and the keeper had 30 seconds every time to make a long kick so I made the comment but he decided and that’s okay. I expected more but at the end we had enough chances to win and we could not score.”

Pep needs to start swinging for the club. No heart or desire. Would respect him more if he fought players or the official

Yes but sad state of affairs that he has to beg for added time to win the match. You could see the desperation.

What’s the point of a one-or-two-minute increase. You had 90 minutes in your hands and you didn’t do anything.

That is just bullshit. 4 minutes was more than fair. He’s now trying to find excuses wherever he can when he should have a long hard look at himself in the mirror. This one is on you pal, not the fourth official

Joking aside, stoppage time is the most bizarre and pathetic rule in any sport. Someone randomly tots up stoppages and sticks a number up, and the ref blows his whistle whenever he fancies calling it a day. Just stop the clock for breaks in play. It’s 2020 ffs. Amateur hour
